In honor of Twin Peaks Day, Mayor Rob McFarland was featured on CBC Vancouver radio talk show On the Coast with Gloria Macarenko, Wednesday afternoon, February 24th.
During the radio segment, Mayor Rob was asked many questions about tourism in North Bend, allowing him to highlight the City’s businesses; the important impact of Twin Peaks tourism to the City; and the many popular destinations that draw tourists from near and far to ‘the real Twin Peaks.’
Mayor McFarland commented, “I was nervous I’d flunk Twin Peaks trivia, but the host asked great questions that provided me the opportunity to really shine a spotlight on our businesses, Snoqualmie Valley amenities, and the community that make North Bend an incredibly special place that’s easy to reach and hard to leave.”
The Twin Peaks TV series has one of the largest and most devoted fan bases, stretching around the globe. Each February 24th Twin Peaks Day is celebrated worldwide as it marks the day FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper arrived in Twin Peaks to help solve the mystery of Laura Palmer’s death.”
