In late February/early March Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County will begin site preparation work for its newest community located at 250 E. 2nd Street in downtown North Bend.

Site preparation on the land parcel at E. 2nd Street and Janet Ave includes tree removal. There are plans to save two trees on the property, though.

The new, income qualified affordable housing project includes 7 townhomes. Each townhome will have 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms.

Senior Project Manager Donna Adair said, “Habitat for Humanity is very excited to offer affordable home ownership to the North Bend Community and will be providing community preference to North Bend residents.”

In the coming months the City of North Bend will partner with Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County to provide more information to residents interested in owning one of these new, affordable townhomes.

Habitat for Humanity anticipates construction to begin in summer 2021 with completion in 2022.
