The City’s sewer system historically served a relatively small population close to the downtown area. The Utility Local Improvement District (ULID) No. 6 expansion resulted in sewer service being extended into the Tanner and Truck Town areas. Approximately 2,370 residents are currently served by the City’s wastewater collection system.
The City is currently in the midst of a major, multi-year project to upgrade its aging Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The two-phase WWTP High Priorities Improvement Project will increase redundancy, make multiple safety and environmental upgrades and add capacity for the all future commercial and residential growth.
